Using Rhassoul on the hair

  • Recipe for the mask: mix water with clay to obtain a clay paste which you apply to wet hair (from roots to ends). Leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse with clean water. 
  • Bonus tip: you can add a few drops ofArgan oil for more intense results!

Le Rhassoul with its cleansing, exfoliating, purifying and absorbing properties offers your hair the ability to reduce excess sebum and eliminate dandruff .

  • Mask recipe: make a clay paste and apply to wet hair. Massage the paste in as you would your shampoo. Leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse with clean water.
  • Bonus tip: you can also add a few drops of hydrosol to your mask. Atlas Cedar or Green Tea or 2 drops of Cade essential oil.

Use as no poo, Rhassoul shampoo

Rhassoul removes many of the hair's greasy substances.

Recipe for no poo use: mix some of the Rhassoul powder with very hot water until you obtain a homogeneous paste, either liquid or thicker, depending on your preference. Apply it to your hair and massage as if it were your usual shampoo. Finish by rinsing.

Rhassoul: Hair Mask Recipe #1 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 50 grams of Rhassoul with a floral water of your choice


Steps : 

  1. Start by mixing the ingredients.
  2. Then apply the paste to the hair: from roots to ends. 
  3. Rest time: 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Finish by rinsing with lukewarm water.

Rhassoul: Hair Mask Recipe #2

Ingredients: 

  • 2 tablespoons Rhassoul
  • 1 to 3 drops of essential oil
  • 6 tablespoons floral water of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon marshmallow powder (optional: adds volume and shine to hair)

          

Steps : 

  1. Mix all ingredients with lukewarm water until the result is a smooth, fluid paste.
  2. Apply the mask to damp hair.
  3. Rest time: 10 - 20 minutes.
  4. Rinse well with clean water.

Rhassoul : Shampoo recipe 

Ingredients: 

Steps : 

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Then apply shampoo to wet hair.
  3. Apply evenly to ends and scalp.
  4. Rest time: 10 minutes.
  5. Finish by rinsing with clean water.

Tips on using Ghassoul / Rhassoul 

  • Moisturize your skin or hair after using Ghassoul. Ghassoul can dry out hair and skin, so it's important to use a moisturizer or nourishing conditioner after rinsing. 
  • Moderate use: Rhassoul should not be used too frequently. It is advisable to use it 1 to 2 times a week for the skin and 1 use every two weeks for the hair, especially dry, fragile hair. 
  • Don't let Ghassoul dry completely on the skin or hair. Once dry, it can be difficult to remove and may cause irritation. Keep it moist by spraying a little water if necessary, and don't exceed a 10-15 minute exposure time.
  • Metal utensils should not be used when working with clays, as they lose much of their effectiveness. Instead, use wooden, plastic or ceramic utensils. 
  • Do not let the clay dry. 

Precautions for use on Ghassoul 

  • Perform a sensitivity test on a small area of skin (such as the inside of the wrist) before using Ghassoul on the face or hair. Wait 24 hours to ensure there is no allergic reaction.
  • Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Store preferably away from light and heat, in a dry place.
  • Don't let Ghassoul dry completely on the skin or hair. Once dry, it can be difficult to remove and may cause irritation. Keep it moist by spraying a little water if necessary, and don't exceed a 10-15 minute exposure time.
  • Beware of draughts when handling, as clay is powdery. It must not be inhaled. In the event of excessive inhalation, it is essential to ventilate directly into fresh air. 
  • Pregnant women, nursing mothers and young children should seek medical advice before use.
  • When applied to the skin, clay should not be reused. Once used, it must be discarded.
