Yoga, a complete physical activity

You are not a sportsman or sportswoman? Do you feel guilty when your friends put on their shorts and sneakers to go running for an hour after work when all you want to do is clear your head and relax? Are you lacking energy or simply motivation? You just don't like sports but you know that the only way to slim down your figure is in your sneakers?

Let's finally say stop to guilt! Of course, we don't all have the same bodies or the same inclinations for sports.

Some people like to spend hours shaping their figure at the gym. Others do not like excessive sports or activities that are too physical and intense. Obviously, "cardio" type sports activities are not suitable for everyone. This is perfectly legitimate. Although physical activity is essential to everyone's health, it is important to define the sport that suits you.

Although yoga is often highlighted for its benefits in terms of relaxation of the body, this activity is not only meditative. Indeed, yoga is also a complete physical activity that requires the intervention of the whole body. Indeed, the imposed postures stimulate all the muscles of the body and thus allow a complete and harmonious work.

Hatha Yoga: a practice for all ages

There are different types of yoga with different philosophies, methods and postures. The most widespread yoga practice in the West is Hatha Yoga because it is suitable for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest. Indeed, this variant does not require any prerequisite or any particular flexibility or endurance. For a more dynamic method, let's go towards Vinyasa Yoga which imposes more rhythmic postures and in parallel to a well controlled breathing.

Many yoga "stars" are swarming on social networks showing wonderful shots of harmonious and delicate postures. Isn't that wonderful? Of course, yes! These models show us perfect and harmonious postures but do not stop this comparison if you want to start yoga because everyone can adapt this sport practice to his level. The only goal you should have in practicing yoga is your personal well-being and only that.

Yoga is first and foremost a wellness activity. It stimulates the physical as well as the emotional or energetic. This weekly or daily practice activates all parts of our being. This is done by evacuating the negative, such as stress or anxiety, while impacting our muscles and joints.

Yoga is a sport activity in its own right. It usually includes a quick awareness and change in our lifestyle. Generally, in front yogini - even at the beginning stage -, we tend towards a healthier diet with a great desire to eliminate toxins from our lives as can be various addictions such as tobacco or alcohol. Quickly also, when we feel invested by yoga, we tend towards a new lifestyle more focused on the return to the sources, the natural and wisdom. Let's just say that with a certain investment, one becomes aware of its value. We learn to live mindfully with our health and well-being.

With all the different possibilities of yoga classes available to us, the first objective will be to find the one class that will meet our needs and expectations. Generally, the first classes are free to allow a test and to evaluate our appreciation without commitment. So be sure to feel comfortable.
