Why is my skin imperfect?

Have you ever dreamed of having that smooth, perfect skin you see on the face of such and such a model in magazines or on television? Did you ever think that this face was really perfect compared to yours? .... But does the perfect face exist? Is blemish-free skin a reflection of reality? We all know it - or almost - but the bright faces we see on the glossy paper of magazines are all retouched by a photo program. Indeed, these modifications are there to sell us dreams, to make us hope for the unhoped-for and especially to push us to buy one cosmetic product or another.

The perfect targets are young adults and teenage girls who dream about what they are shown, completely ignoring reality. Unfortunately, this is also what happens with the comparison to dream bodies that can push some young women more sensitive to excessive diets that can even go to eating disorders.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you read us, what the press shows us is not a reflection of reality. So maybe some ladies are lucky enough to have a perfect skin without makeup and bravo to them because these women must have an impeccable lifestyle... Because yes, the skin is the reflection of our lifestyle. Spreading a ton of foundation on your face every morning to cover up your imperfections is always a reminder of this generation's concern about hiding the symptoms instead of finding a real cause for the problem.

What could be the cause of my skin problem?

The question is very relevant and it is important to ask and reflect on it for a moment. Indeed, the causes of major skin concerns, mainly of the face, such as acne, blackheads, pimples, dull complexion, wrinkles, and imperfections of all kinds are often related to :

  • The state of the liver.
  • Excessive consumption of beauty products both in terms of quantity of products used and in terms of "time", i.e. "how long have you been using these skin care products"?
  • The application of a product not adapted to your skin type on your face
  • The use of non-organic quality products that poison your skin. The advertisements can make you dream, but in fact, all these products of big brands are full of chemical molecules very harmful for your body and in spite of the efforts provided by some labels, the consumption of organic cosmetic products remains the most adapted.
  • Etc.

Therefore, the first thing to do when we want to adopt good mechanisms in terms of beauty care is to sort out the products in our bathroom. This sorting will then be done on the basis of different labels (such as the organic label for example) but also on the basis of reading the labels. By learning to decode the INCI = International Nomenclature Cosmetics Ingredients, you make a big step in your life as a consumer. The website "the truth about cosmetics" will be able to enlighten you on the big question of the INCI.

Then, taking care of yourself will be the second step.

How do I fix my skin problem?

Simply by taking care of your liver! Of course, consulting a naturopath can help you in this process but you can already carry out light detox cures to clean your body. These cures are done several times a year, mainly at the change of season like autumn or spring and the plants will then be of great support. Through aromatherapy or general phytotherapy, this choice will be personal and specific to each person. We recommend, for example, nutritional complexes based on milk thistle, artichoke or dandelion.

As you will have understood, our skin, this very important organ, deserves all our attention and care.

So take care of it!
