Which minerals to choose when you are deficient?

Minerals and vitamins are essential for the proper functioning of the body. In adequate quantities, they keep us healthy. Unfortunately, the new agri-food technologies (use of fertilizers and other chemical products, denaturation of food) provide us with food that is both depleted in essential substances and contaminated, especially by additives.

Minerals, like vitamins, are of paramount importance because they are responsible for and essential to the proper functioning of the body as a whole. Without them, life is impossible. When we go through certain periods of life (growth, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause, stress or old age), or when taking certain medications for example (contraceptive pills), mineral needs can be multiplied by 200.

The key to mineral effectiveness: bioavailability

Whether it is food, medicine or a food supplement, it is the bioavailability of a substance that determines the quantity of this substance that will actually be used and utilized by the body. The solubility and (bio)availability in the intestine can vary greatly from one substance to another. Still, it is this actual amount absorbed that will enable the biological and physiological activity harmonieu of the body.

Minerals can be provided in an inorganic form (carbonates, oxides, phosphates, sulfates). To be used, this inorganic form must first be transformed and bound to an element-specific amino acid.

When minerals are provided in organic form, they already contain complex bonds with amino acids (pidolates, glycinates). Directly coupled to an organic carrier (substance), these minerals mimic the natural process of assimilation. They are thus easily recognized by the body as "food" rather than as an indigestible piece of metal. Their absorption or bioavailability is therefore significantly higher. Moreover, the amino acids that literally surround the mineral, protect it and make it difficult to access or react with other compounds.

Chlorophyll to ensure good intestinal absorption

Our intestinal flora is attacked daily by numerous pollutants and the overconsumption of sugars favors its imbalance. Thus, the absorption of minerals becomes difficult even with "good" food supplements.

This is where the chlorophyll comes in, as it promotes the reconstitution of the intestinal mucosa. It also regulates intestinal fermentation, as it rebalances the flora and promotes the health of probiotic bacteria.

The magnesium chlorophyll integrated into our range of minerals also optimizes the acid-base balance, which is essential for good health, since we know today that we all tend to move towards acidosis. To maintain an acid-base balance, the body draws on its reserves of basic elements. These mineral reserves (mainly calcium and magnesium) tend to be depleted and the consequence is a general demineralization. This can cause real health problems (bone loss, cartilage wear, brittle nails, hair loss...).

The choice of the organic carrier

It is important to target the choice of mineral carrier. The criteria for this choice are based on:

  • Optimal bioavailability
  • Safety (absence of harm and side effects)
  • Stability (electrically neutral)
  • Resistance to stomach acidity
  • Non-competition with other salts
  • Very low molecular weight (increases assimilation)
  • 100% compatible with vegetarian diets.

We have chosen the ideal carrier for each mineral based on these parameters so that our minerals are as effective as possible.

  • Glycinates are of plant origin. They are derived from an amino acid (glycine) which is very present in our body and has many properties, including the regulation of sugar metabolism. Its excellent absorption comes from the fact that it is electrically neutral, which makes it insensitive to stomach acidity. Its extremely high molecular weight makes it highly assimilable. Glycinates are indicated for the "transport" of magnesium, iron and copper salts.
  • Pidolates are derived from pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (PCA) which is involved in many biological processes. They are also very present in the plant kingdom. Obtained from glutamic acid, another amino acid of plant origin, PCA improves the bioavailability of the mineral it carries and optimizes its tolerance. This substance is a precursor of collagen (skin, bone structure). It is thus a recognized agent which contributes to the mechanical resistance and the good hydration of the skin. PCA is present in most human tissues and is involved in the Krebs cycle, the generation of cellular energy. It has an antioxidant role (glutathione cycle) and promotes the transport of certain amino acids. The PCA helps to calm the screaming and since it is a derivative of glutamic acid, it is essential to the proper functioning of the intestinal flora whose functioning it improves.Like glycinates, pidolates also have a low molecular weight and solubility independent of the pH. Pidolate is a preferred carrier for calcium and zinc.
  • Picolinates are organic salts. Our body synthesizes it from tryptophan, another amino acid. It is found in breast milk and little in cow's milk. This transporter recognized by our cells allows an excellent assimilation of chromium salts.
  • Citrates are organic salts derived from citric acid in fruit. They are also involved in the Krebs cycle (energy of the cell) and in the synthesis of fatty acids. They are an excellent carrier for potassium and provide a very useful organic contribution.

CALCIUM (Ca)

whole milk

Calcium pidolate is necessary to maintain normal bones and teeth. Calcium also contributes to normal muscle function and neurotransmission. It promotes the burning of triglycerides, which explains its contribution to normal blood coagulation. Calcium pidolate contributes to a normal cellular energy metabolism and to the normal functioning of digestive enzymes.

N.B. In order to increase its effectiveness, we have coupled it with vitamin D3, as well as a small dose of magnesium (1/5) which potentiates its action.

  • Dynamization:informational transfer of calcium and dynamization.
  • Directions for use: 3 capsules per day at meal time.

MAGNESIUM (Mg)

Pot of almonds

It is the preferred treatment for magnesium deficiency. Nowadays, magnesium deficiencies are more and more frequent, especially due to increased stress. This type of deficiency manifests itself by fatigue, cramps, tingling, spasmophilia, anxiety, dizziness, headaches and recurrent infections.

Magnesium improves the functioning of the heart and plays a role in the regularity of the cardiac rhythm. It is a general tonic that reinforces many bioreactions. It activates the body's defense in case of infections.

  • Advice: 3 capsules per day.

ZINC pidolate (Zn)

metal

Zinc is involved in many enzymatic reactions, which explains its various physiological actions.

Its action on the hormonal system in general allows it to be used more particularly in certain cases of infertility (help with the production of sperm in men). It has a positive action on prostate adenoma. Zinc deficiency affects hair and nails. Beneficial in the treatment of skin diseases in general, it is known to be very useful in the case of skin disorders or when the phanera (hair, nails) are weakened. It is therefore used for healing problems, eczema, nails and brittle hair. In some people, zinc deficiency can lead to a severe nervous breakdown. It has a role of primary importance in the defense of the body.

Caution: the contraceptive pill promotes zinc loss.

To be well absorbed, it requires the presence of vitamin B6 and vitamins B2 and B3 optimize its effects.

Zn B6 Complex

  • Formula: Zn pidolate 20 mg/Vit B6 4.87 mg/Vit B2 4 mg/Vit B3 70 mg/magnesium chlorophyll 100 mg (excipient lithothame)
  • Dynamization:informational transfer of zinc and dynamization.
  • Advice: 3 capsules per day.

Iron (Fe) glycinate

Together with copper, iron is involved in the production of hemoglobin, a protein that ensures the transport of oxygen in the blood by red blood cells. Iron glycinate is the best way to correct iron deficiency anemia without side effects. Combined with various B vitamins, vitamin C and manganese, iron is one of the best ways to fight general fatigue.

  • Dynamization:informational iron transfer and dynamization.
  • Advice: 2 capsules per day.

COPPER (Cu) glycinate

Copper is essential to the proper functioning of the immune system. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious effects, and will be used both as a preventive and curative measure. Recent research conducted at the University of Southampton shows that the copper is able to inactivate the virus H1N1, responsible for influenza A. Associated with vitamin C, this complex will be very useful during an infectious episode for 1 to 2 weeks.

The Selenium (Se)

There is no specific transporter for selenium. It is the form of selenium itself that is more or less assimilable. The L-selenomethionine is produced from live yeast in the presence of selenium. This form is highly bioavailable, as it is organic selenium in its most metabolized form.

Selenium is well known for its antioxidant properties. Its action is favored by the simultaneous absorption of vitamins C and E, as well as by the presence of β-carotene.

Like calcium, potassium, phosphorus, sodium, chlorine and magnesium, sulfur is one of the 7 macro-elements essential to life.

Present in all cells, it plays a major role in the body. It is part of the living molecules like carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen and thus participates intimately in all physiological phenomena.
Sulfur enters the constitution of many proteins, amino acids and certain vitamins.

It is involved in the structure of various connective tissues, i.e. collagen, cartilage, tendons, bones and teeth.

It helps neutralize toxins and promotes their elimination. It is also considered anti-allergic and desensitizing.
