What causes infertility or impotence?

Impotence, loss of libido, dulled desire, infertility, ... these are all sexual problems. They are increasingly common and few of them are actually caused by organic physiological causes.

2/3 of the male population affected by infertility

Infertility currently affects almost 2/3 of the male population of reproductive age. The alarmist prognoses advance a male sterility rate. They would affect ¾ of the population, or even all of them by the middle of the century. Doctor Franck Ledoux explains in the presentation L'alimentation jusqu'à 18 mois : les clefs intestinales de notre immunité et de nos pensées futures , planète quantique avril 2013 that these alarming figures are the result, among other things, of the poor industrial diet we give ourselves, which no longer sufficiently nourishes the spermatogenesis process. He especially insists on the dramatic consequences of pesticides and on the way we feed the earth. He says that there are official studies that prove all this. They were given to the government in France and Belgium more than 15 years ago. To date, nothing has been done and no action has been taken.

We will add to the problems generated by pesticides, those induced by many other endocrine disruptors such as :

  • halogen products (chlorine, bromine, fluorine)
  • plastic residues (bisphenols, phthalates, acrylamide, etc.)
  • dioxins
  • drug residues in drinking water or tap water (see the phenomenon of feminization of fish populations in our rivers which is only one of the consequences)

For example, since the early 2000s, the number of sperm in the sperm fluid has decreased by 50%. In 50 years, sperm quality has also decreased by 50% worldwide. The seminal volume has decreased by 25%. In France, between 1989 and 2005 in men aged 35, researchers have observed a decrease in the number of spermatozoa and an increase in the number of malformed spermatozoa.

Impotence is affecting men at an increasingly early age

Impotence problems also seem to affect younger and younger male populations. This is true for up to 50% of men from the age of 40-45 years. Still taboo, this problem is often kept secret and little talked about by most men. It is however at the origin of many malaise within couples. Sometimes, it is even the cause of separation or breakup. In the case of impotence or erectile problems, the first thing to do is to rule out the cause of taking medication, including those recommended for high blood pressure. Indeed, the chemical molecules they contain are intended to reduce the blood pressure in the peripheral vessels in order to improve the circulation and oxygenation of the coronary arteries (arteries located around the heart). The blood channels in the penis also experience this decrease in pressure.

The erection is normally caused by an influx of blood into the vessels of the cavernous bodies of the penis. If the pressure is artificially reduced by such drugs, the irrigation of these corpora cavernosa is no longer optimal and the erection process is no longer fully performed. Erections decrease not only in frequency, but also in intensity in many men consuming this type of product. It's not just blood pressure medications that cause sexual side effects. Others, such as statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs) for example, have an equally deleterious, but more insidious action that will generally manifest itself in the longer term. In fact, when cholesterol levels are reduced, the body no longer has the raw materials (fatty acids) needed to synthesize hormones, mainly steroid hormones directly related to genital and sexual actions.

Stress at the root of low libido?

Libido problems are more related to the psychological and emotional sphere, and this area is usually directly related to stress. And contrary to what these gentlemen say, they are more affected by emotional worries than they want to let on. Men are not more talkative about this. It seems that as soon as one touches this male genital and sexual sphere, it is as if their ego or virility is directly affected. However, an excessive number of them are victims of burnout, depression, insomnia or work overload, all of which they have difficulty managing without wanting to admit it.

The stress generated by the work pressures of profit-driven companies is one of the most devastating factors in the health field. And one of the first areas in which emotional difficulties are reflected is sexual activity. It is obvious that the libido is inevitably linked to the feelings or the attraction that one feels towards his partner. If there is no love and you are no longer attracted to your partner, it is normal to experience a decrease or even a total absence of libido. Dialogue between partners and sincerity in this area is required to remedy this type of concern.

So gentlemen, in order to avoid unnecessary and destructive stress, a little advice, stop trying to be supermen, we (women) will love you anyway ... and everyone will be better off!
