If your hair has undergone many chemical or mechanical treatments such as regular straightening, coloring, straightening, tight weaves, hair dryer use, it is important to set up windows during which you leave it natural.
Many products exist on the market to take care of your hair. However, the vast majority contain petrochemical derivatives whose effects are deleterious to health (endocrine disruption, allergies ...). It is therefore essential to return to the natural, raw product and in the best cases, to make your own mixtures.
Oils to soften your frizzy hair
The sure things: shea butter, castor oil, coconut oil, argan oil, monoi, olive oil
Fatty substances help soften and deeply nourish the fiber of your hair as well as regulate sebum production on your scalp .
These oils will be chosen preferably of organic quality or from fair trade and from first cold pressure.
Ricin oil is extremely viscous but oh so nourishing. It also has the property of promoting growth and avoiding hair loss. To do this, be sure to massage the scalp thoroughly. To facilitate its application, it is advisable to dilute it with other oils.
Shea butter and coconut oil are solid at room temperature. You can heat them between your hands before applying them directly (in the morning or after shampooing, for example) or melt them in the husband bath to mix with other ingredients including aloe vera gel.
Aloe vera gel
This plant is a remedy for many ailments. Here, we will focus on its use in cosmetics as a moisturizer and tensor. Although gels aloe vera are already packaged, it is easy to make your own from leaves taken directly from the plant or purchased as is in supermarkets. To do this, cut the leaf in half lengthwise, scoop it out with a spoon and blend it in a blender. At this point, the gel is full of fibers that may become embedded in your hair. I strongly advise you to filter it with a sticky before applying it or to prepare your mixture with some of the vegetable oils mentioned above.
Homemade care for frizzy, curly, dull and tired hair
Before shampoo, the aloe vera oil bath.
Once a week, take the time to concoct a blend of 2 or 3 previously mentioned oils enriched with aloe vera gel. To be applied to the whole hair by massaging carefully the scalp. Untangle it with your fingers and braid it roughly. Finally, put on a self-heating cap that will open the scales of your hair and improve the penetration of the treatment overnight.
The next morning, wash with a conditioner adapted to the quality of your hair based on shea butter, safflower oil or coconut oil, which will have the advantage of not drying out the hair fiber.
Finish with a dab of shea butter on the tips and lengths to perfect the curl.
Once a month, use a clarifying shampoo to thoroughly clean your hair (excess product, pollution, dust...). Preferably use solid shampoos made with nourishing plant oils like shea butter or sulfate-free, which don't lather but clean very well. This way, your hair will be clean without being dried out.
Detangling is the trickiest part. Choose fingers or a wide-toothed comb over the usual brushes to avoid damaging or even breaking your hair.
Frizzy hair requires special attention to reveal its full magnificence. The care must thus be almost daily, meticulous and adapted to mitigate their fragility. At the same time, it is also possible to take natural dietary supplements with omega 3, zinc and B vitamins to support sebum production as well as to promote hair growth.
