The effectiveness of ginger and parsley against inflammation

What is inflammation?

Inflammation is part of the natural physiological healing process, but it is also at the root of most major health problems.

In a completely normal way, the cells of our body are attacked, even damaged, by free radicals produced by the simple metabolism. When free radicals exceed a certain threshold, our body can no longer cope with these large quantities of aggressors. Then the pathological inflammatory process really begins.

Prevention is possible. Indeed, some simple principles of life will tend to reduce the quantities of free radicals produced by the body and will strengthen the cellular membranes.

To fight inflammation, there is one simple thing you can do. This consists of adding or reducing certain food intakes. Nature provides us with powerful little tools that can help us stay healthy or promote healing, let's take advantage of them!

Ginger

Ginger, for example, is an incredible "superfood". It ranks 13th on the list of dietary antioxidants. This root contains several volatile oils that give it its characteristic flavor and smell. These oils are powerful antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiparasitic agents. In addition, ginger inhibits the formation of cancer cells and potentiates our body's innate ability to destroy them. Ginger is classically used to improve digestion, reduce nausea, decrease flatulence (carminative effect) and reduce spasms while inducing intestinal motility. Its help in the production of bile makes it particularly useful in case of difficulty in digesting fats.

In addition to all these benefits, ginger is also recognized as a powerful anti-inflammatory. Indeed, the gingerol it contains significantly prevents the production of nitric oxide, a highly reactive and inflammatory nitrogen molecule that quickly turns into a dangerous free radical. This fragrant spice also protects our stocks of glutathione, another free radical destroying super antioxidant.

Parsley

A very interesting and well-known aromatic, parsley contains a unique combination of volatile oils that make it another "superfood". Thus, the myristicin, limonene, eugenol and alpha-thuyene that it contains have the ability to prevent the development of tumor cells. The flavonoids with which it is provided give it really effective antioxidant properties.

This aromatic herb is particularly rich in chlorophyll. This beneficial substance transmits microparticles of solar energy to us. It is a valuable aid in alkalizing tissues, purifying the blood, stimulating the formation of new red blood cells and increasing cellular oxygenation. Parsley contributes to the cellular production of glutathione which, in turn, will allow the body to detoxify itself.

Increased oxygenation increases cell energy, detoxification and promotes the body's innate healing processes.
