Dental amalgams are materials intended to fill cavities. Ideally, a stable metal such as gold should be used, but imagine the cost of this type of dental work. Still today, many amalgams are made of metals (silver, copper, tin...) sometimes still combined with 50% mercury. Mercury, as we know, is a powerful neurotoxicant.
This is evidenced by the fact that when removing amalgam in a dental office, you are not allowed to throw away your amalgam and join it with the regular waste, as it is part of the "special waste." There is also a very specific removal protocol that must be strictly adhered to in order to avoid poisoning the patient, but also the dentist.
Dental offices have been identified as one of the main sources of mercury pollution in wastewater, which alone accounts for approximately 3.7 tons of mercury per year!
Our bodies, like the environment, suffer from the presence or release of this toxic substance.
Many dentists still seem to be unaware of this harmfulness and continue to use this type of amalgam, whereas mercury poisoning is almost always pathogenic.
These intoxications are often installed in a progressive and insidious way. There are small signs, but few people make the connection between these small warning signs and the metals in their mouths. It is only when the situation worsens and leads to serious pathologies such as multiple sclerosis or other degenerative problems that we start to worry.
When removing amalgams if the protocol is not strictly followed and accompanied by a powerful detoxification program, health problems can be triggered or worsened.
There is currently irrefutable evidence thatdental amalgam releases mercury in the form of vapor whenever there is movement of the teeth i.e. when eating, drinking or brushing. The oral mucosa is extremely thin and these vapors easily pass through it and go directly into the bloodstream. If the intestinal and blood-brain barriers (which protect the brain) are weakened, the toxins penetrate to the heart of the cells and reach the central nervous system. In the long term, this can cause psychological, neurological, and immunological problems. Mercury can also cause kidney damage.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of signs that can make you think of mercury poisoning:
- vision, hearing or speech disorders, including light sensitivity
- Lack of motor coordination, difficulty contracting or controlling muscles and/or tremor.
- Headaches.
- Itching, fungus, burning or discoloration of the skin.
- Abundant and often odorous perspiration.
- Heart rate disorders, high blood pressure.
- Mood swings, nervousness, anxiety, irritability or insomnia.
If you know a little bit about homeopathy, all these signs correspond to the homeopathic remedy Mercurius solubilis, a remedy that can help with detoxification of this metal.
If you want to proceed to a more drastic detoxification, you can turn to seaweeds, in particular the laminaria japonica found in the product Metout.
From a detoxification point of view, seaweed is more powerful because it is rich in iodine and theiodine is a stimulant of the metabolism and thus of the elimination.
