Here is an association of plants which constitutes a natural alternative to the sleeping pills and other benzodiazepines proposed in the event of insomnia or of difficulty of falling asleep.
Valerian
Valerian (75 mg): this plant has a real sleep-inducing effect demonstrated by numerous studies. It strongly reduces agitation, shortens the time it takes to fall asleep and improves the quality of sleep. It has proven to be as effective as some chemical sleeping pills, sedatives and hypnotics, but without the side effects.
Tryptophan
Tryptophan (25 mg): an essential amino acid that our body is unable to synthesize.
St. John's wort
The St. John's wort (75 mg): plant which has the reputation to brighten the mood and to exalt the spirit. It is the ideal nerve tonic and restorer. Numerous rigorous clinical studies, including one involving more than 1,500 people, have shown that 65-80% of depressed people improve with St. John's Wort, which is as significant a result as with conventional chemical treatment, and without negative side effects.
Passionflower
Passion flower (25 mg): plant widely used in the event of insomnia, it restores a sleep of quality. In addition, it decreases anxiety and stress caused by modern life. It can therefore be used advantageously as a replacement for conventional hypnotics, provided that a withdrawal period is observed for the latter.
GABA
GABA (gamma amino butyric acid - 400 mg): natural amino acid which decreases the excitability of the central nervous system, which confers sedative, anxiolytic and myorelaxant properties to him. It improves the quality of sleep (promotes deep sleep) and relaxes both the mind and the body.
Vitamin B3
Vitamin B3 (12 mg): plays a positive role in sleep because it protects the tryptophan which is destroyed by the liver in case of stress. It is therefore recommended by many nutritionists in case of difficulties in falling asleep due to stress.
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 (1.5 mg): regulates the nervous system.
