Belly fat is the bane of most dieters, but unfortunately - and you probably already know this - it's the hardest fat to get rid of. Here are some tips to help you get rid of that unwanted and unsightly fat.
1. Do some cardio
If your goal is to burn belly fat, cardio is the best way. It burns 67% more calories than strength training and works as many areas of the body as possible, including the stomach.
2. Increase your fibre intake
For every 10 grams of fiber you eat daily, your belly will be about 4% less fat. Fresh fruits and vegetables are great sources of fiber, but you can also eat beans or even grains.
3. Order quickly
Don't be afraid to order quickly, when dining out. Your meal will be served to you more quickly and, thanks to a shorter waiting time, you will not feel hungry and will not eat in excess.
4. Make the wiper
Lie on your back with your palms down and your legs bent at 90 degrees so that your feet do not touch the floor. Extend your legs upward and, contracting your abs and keeping your shoulders firmly planted on the floor, rotate your pelvis to bring your legs close to the floor on the right side, come back up, then do the same on the left side. Repeat 20 times.
5. Vacuuming
Going through the aspirator is really a good workout for your belly, especially if you contract your abs while you clean up. This is a 2-in-1 activity, as you will get a cleaner house and a slimmer waist!
6. Beware of salt
A diet too high in salt promotes water retention and thus swelling.
7. Go for the avocado
The avocados are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids that lower blood sugar and therefore limit fat storage.
8. Say "goodbye" to sodas
The calories in these sugary drinks go straight to the belly. Choose sparkling water or unsweetened iced tea.
9. Avoid alcohol
Too much alcohol increases cortisol levels, which makes the belly swell. Opt for alcohol-free drinks to avoid a ton of unwanted calories.
10. Practice kayaking
Besides being super fun, kayaking is a great workout for your abs - and your entire upper body!!!
11. Eat sunflower seeds
Sunflower seeds are also a wonderful source of monounsaturated fatty acids and adding them to your diet is very easy; incorporate them, for example, into your salad at lunch.
12. Pull in your stomach!
Tucking in your window while walking or cleaning is a simple and effective way to tone your muscles throughout the day.
13. Eat fish
Salmon and many other fishes are excellent sources ofOmega-3 beneficial to fight fat. Try to eat them several times a week.
14. Hydrate
Proper hydration promotes optimal functioning of your entire body, including your metabolism.
