A day cream is a moisturizing cream with some additional benefits. Indeed, not only does it provide in-depth hydration, but it also acts as a shield on the skin. It protects it from the aggressions encountered throughout the day and thus slows down the premature aging of the epidermis.
The interest of a sun protection factor in day creams
Many of the day creams now contain a low sun protection factor (SPF). But why is this necessary?
UVA rays are responsible for several skin problems that we currently encounter: appearance of spots and wrinkles, loss of skin firmness... The sun protection factor present in day creams are intended to protect us from these famous rays and their harmful effects.
Anti-ageing cream, to stay young longer
The anti-aging cream, really useful?
Some people might think that an anti-aging cream has no particular effect and that a moisturizer or day cream is enough. However, this is not the case and anti-aging creams are specifically formulated to contain several powerful active ingredients that act on the signs of aging.
However, the use of this cream should not start too early and young women under 25 years of age may prefer a normal moisturizing cream or an all-in-one cream (foundation, moisturizing, nourishing, day cream...).
Crème anti-rides ou crème anti-âge
The main difference between an anti-wrinkle cream and an anti-aging cream is their range of action. They both provide a moisturizing and nourishing effect, but while an anti-wrinkle cream focuses solely on the treatment of wrinkles and fine lines on the face, an anti-aging cream acts deep down to treat all other age-related skin symptoms (spots, wrinkles, firmness).
How to apply anti-aging cream?
An anti-aging cream can be applied on the face as well as to the neck and décolleté. Indeed, these three areas are equally subject to skin aging and must be treated in the same way.
Although there are day creams, it is preferable to apply an anti-aging cream at night on a clean and make-up free face. Cell metabolism differs during the day and night and it is during sleep that the skin repairs itself best.
For an even greater effect, the cream can be applied by gently massaging the face. This causes an interesting draining action of the skin.
Le type de peau pour une crème adaptée
Before choosing a face cream, we must define our skin type. This step can be difficult because our skin varies a lot over time depending on several factors: age, hormones, lifestyle, pollution, weather...
In order to choose a cream with active ingredients adapted to our skin, it is therefore essential to know if it is more of the following type:
Oily: It has a shiny aspect with a tendency to pimples and blackheads.
Dry: The dry aspect is not necessarily visible but it is felt by tightness and a feeling that the skin will break due to a lack of suppleness.
Combination: a combination skin is greasy on the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and dry on the cheekbones, temples and cheeks.
Sensitive: Oily, combination or dry skin can also be sensitive. This is noticeable by sensations of redness or burning of the skin.
