The essential oil of Gaultherie couchée: a must
If you had to choose only one, it would be this one. The EO of Gaultheria couchée is indeed the most known to fight against the inflammations of the body. Its composition makes it an inescapable active ingredient to relieve the pains, and more especially in muscular matter. This makes it a very appreciated oil for sportsmen. The EO of Gaultheria couchée will also be effective against joint inflammations, rheumatism or arthritis. The EO of Gaultheria couchée can be used alone. In synergy, you can combine it with Eucalyptus EO lemon, or Italian Helichrysum to increase their effects tenfold.
The essential oil of lemon Eucalyptus
Recognized for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, oil of lemon Eucalyptus will quickly relieve you of your pains, in particular in the event of torticollis, tendinitis and other articular discomforts due to the inflammations. This oil Lemon Eucalyptus will work wonders when combined with Gaultheria, lying downto benefit from a complete and optimal combination of their molecules.
Calm the inflammation with essential oil of lavandin
This oil has relaxing and soothing virtues that complement its analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. The essential oil of lavandin will alleviate the inflammations of the skin, and will be also a good muscular relaxant. In external application on the concerned zones, you will quickly notice its beneficial effects.
What are the benefits of l'huile essentielle de genévrier ?
Its smell may be off-putting, but it remains one of the best essential oils to have in your aromatherapy kit. Antirheumatic and painkiller, it is the oil essential juniper that you need in case of osteoarthritis or painful drop attacks. Theoil essential juniper will also be very effective against inflammatory colitis which triggers very unpleasant intestinal disorders. It will fully produce its effects in trio with the Wintergreen et Lemon Eucalyptus.
Anti-inflammatory recipe of essential oils
An essential oil is not applied pure on your skin. It will be diluted in a vegetable oil which will support the massage. It will be enough to mix a few drops of the chosen EO before applying the preparation.
The vegetable oil of Calophylle inophyle or the oily macerate of Arnica are frequently recommended to carry out anti-inflammatory oils of massage.
We offer three recipes:
Joint and muscle comfort" oil
- 2 drops of EO of Lemon Eucalyptus;
- 2 drops of EO of Gaultheria lying;
- 5 drops of oily macerate of Arnica.
Mix the ingredients and apply with a light massage on the areas affected by the inflammation, without rubbing the skin.
Massage oil against rheumatic inflammations
- 90 drops of EO of Gaultheria couchée;
- 60 drops of Lavandin EO;
- 60 drops of Lemon Eucalyptus ;
- 50 ml of vegetable oil of Calophylle inophyle.
Pour the EO in a bottle, then add the vegetable oil and mix. You can then massage the painful areas with a few drops of this mixture (3 times a day maximum), without exceeding 7 days of application.
Massage oil against arthritis
- 30 drops of Peppermint EO;
- 90 drops of EO of Gaultheria couchée;
- 90 drops of lemon Eucalyptus EO;
- 60 EO of Italian Helichrysum;
- 60 drops of Lemon EO;
- 50 ml of vegetable oil of Calophylle inophyle.
The preparation process and application protocol are identical to the previous recipe. Be sure not to exceed the treatment period of 7 days.
Precautions for use: recommendations
- In case of chronic and unexplained inflammation: the symptoms may be the sign of a pathology that requires specific treatment. It is advisable to consult your doctor who will prescribe the examinations adapted to your state of health;
- In case of chronic pathology, especially neurological, do not use essential oils without the advice of a doctor or an experienced aromatherapist;
- The EO present in this article should not be used in children under six years, in pregnant or breast-feeding women. Moreover, for the children of more than six years, consult necessarily your doctor before any use;
- Do not use the essential oils in this article if you are allergic to aspirin, especially that of Gaultheria couchée ;
- The people under anticoagulant treatment should not use the EO of Italian Helichrysum;
- Do not administer these essential oils for internal use. They are exclusively intended for external use and always diluted in a medium such as vegetable oil;
- Allergenic effects: given their highly concentrated composition, essential oils can be allergenic, and cause skin reactions. It is always advisable to test your preparation on a small part of your skin to check that you tolerate the different mixtures.
- Lemon EO is photosensitizing: do not expose yourself to the sun for at least 8 hours after applying a treatment containing it. You can turn to a lemon EO without furocoumarins to avoid this inconvenience;
- Peppermint EO should be used with caution: it is forbidden to people suffering from asthma and epilepsy, to elderly people and to children under 12 years old. This EO can become neurotoxic if used in high doses. By following these precautions, you will be able to take advantage of the natural virtues of essential oils, and relieve the pains due to the inflammations of the body.
