The Duty to Inform TRUE by Dr. Willem

The importance of information for those who want to take charge of their health and assume their responsibilities cannot be overemphasized. This is one of the paradoxes of our society:

Information is ubiquitous, but in the area of health, the information available to the majority of our citizens reflects the only official approach. It is not that there are publication bans, but the difference in power between the media is such - between the information hype relayed by all the major media (from school to television), under the leadership of the medical and political authorities, and the information disseminated by structures like ours, that the basic citizen is deafened by only one sound of the bell

The example of vaccines is significant in this respect. How can we fight against the omnipresent propaganda in favor of vaccines? The pharmaceutical industry is preparing 320 vaccines. Everything will be solved by a polyvaccination.

Articles published in the alternative press and books by a few bold therapists are undoubtedly making their mark, but they are reaching only a small minority of the population.

The main reason for this is the economic stake represented by the pharmaceutical industry (France is one of the main vaccine manufacturers), which multiplies the pressure on the media, administrative and political levels. Advertising, especially from pharmaceutical companies, keeps the media alive; as for the administration and politicians, it is not clear what guides their conduct, but in any case their attitude is in line with the interests of these groups. To the example of vaccines, we could add that of the inadmissible pressure brought in France against the manufacturers and distributors of food supplements and natural products. Not only are we witnessing shameless propaganda in favor of a single point of view on health, but they also want to prevent us, in France, from accessing the products of our choice.

Coming back to the duty to inform, the important thing is to realize that this requires an active approach, as in the case of health. For a long time, at least in the field of health, the press - we should rather speak of the information industry - has not played its role of "counter-power". On the contrary, as a whole, it is totally consistent with other industrial sectors. Taking responsibility for one's own health means going against the grain of the dominant ideology, resisting societal pressure, and also taking responsibility for the necessary need to be informed.
