Some tips for making good fresh juice

Apart from the fact that juices are very fashionable and trendy in recent years, they also have excellent health benefits and, in addition, allow the digestive system to rest. Depending on the fruits and vegetables we use, juices have different benefits and contributions. And because the intake of good nutrients is essential for health and to maintain one's immunity, it is important to integrate juices but also smoothies into one's diet.

Smoothies have totally different virtues than juices because by mixing fruits and vegetables, we do not remove the cellulose which must be digested. The digestive system is then not in pause but the nutritional qualities are well present.

Some tips for making good fresh juice

  • Prefer a slow extractor to a centrifuge which will take better care of your food. The former uses cold extraction while the latter uses speed to extract the juice from fruits and vegetables, while leaving the fiber in. This speed will induce some heating and heat that will destroy some of the nutrients.
  • Use organic fruits and vegetables, which will also allow you to leave the skin, which is rich in vitamins and nutrients. Very often we make the mistake of peeling our food, even though the peelings are the heart of the vitamins.
  • For a juice to have healing properties, prefer it to be green, i.e. 80% vegetables and only 20% fruit. For those who love sweet drinks, it is possible to make green juices with enough sugar to satisfy your taste buds. Carrots, for example, are vegetables that add a tasty touch to your drinks, in addition to the nutritional benefits of course.

For the preparation of smoothies, the use of a blender is necessary.
