Deworming powder with pumpkin seeds
Grind dried pumpkin seeds into powder. These are effective against tapeworm infestation.
The dose is 4g per 20 kg of weight to be mixed with your dog's usual food and adding a little beer yeast.
Deworming tincture for adult dogs, except pregnant females:
Prepare a mixture of equal parts of mother tincture of Artemisia Vulgaris, Tanacetum vulgare. 1 drop per kilo of weight, morning and evening.
Deworming capsules with essential oils
To be prepared in a pharmacy, quantity for 1 capsule:
Roman chamomile EO: 1 drop
HE of Tea Tree: 1 drop
Cardamom EO: 1 drop
Oily macerate of St. John's wort 20 drops for a capsule n° 1.
Dosage: 1 capsule per day, for 3 days for a dog of 20kg.
For small dogs, prepare the above mixture and fill two capsules n°0. Give 1 capsule n°0/d for a dog of 10kg.
Hydrolats vermifuges
Roman chamomile, savory and thyme linalol hydrolats are effective for parasitosis in dogs.
Dosage: 1 ml for 5 kg
For pregnant females: give only chamomile and thyme linalol hydrolate.
To complete a natural deworming treatment
It is advisable to complete the deworming with a light laxative such as magnesium chloride (nigari) to expel the worms' waste.
