The powerful antioxidant power of barefoot walking

The connection to the earth through barefoot walking seems to be the essential asset to avoid circulatory problems like phlebitis or blood clots.

In fact, when you walk barefoot and have direct contact with the earth, you become charged with free electrons. These electrons counteract the oxidation processes. You have certainly already heard about free radicals which are aggressive molecules responsible for oxidation and therefore for the aging of your tissues and organs.

These molecules are on the lookout for electrons that they will "steal" from other molecules, thus losing their beneficial effects. Antioxidants such as flavonoids, proanthocyanidins including carotene, lycopene or polyphenols found in green tea, for example, combine with free radicals and neutralize their harmfulness.

It has been known for many years now that antioxidants are beneficial from all points of view. They protect the whole body and more particularly the cardiovascular system and the skin. They support and strengthen our immune system, which in turn reduces inflammatory processes. There is a simple antioxidant method that everyone can afford, and that is to walk barefoot. Walking barefoot allows us to connect to the earth and to capture the free electrons that it generously offers us.

These free electrons have a global antioxidant effect. This connection to the earth's energy seems to act mainly on blood fluidity by avoiding the agglomeration of red blood cells thanks to a modification of their electromagnetic fields which repel rather than attract each other. This effect is coupled with a decrease in blood pressure. Contrary to what we might think, small clots are sometimes enough to create circulatory problems with disastrous consequences when we know that the diameter of the blood capillaries in our pulmonary alveoli, our heart muscle or even our brain is really very small.

Thus, very small clumps of blood cells can very easily clog them and cause micro-vascular accidents. It is to counter this that many doctors recommend taking aspirin. Aspirin, even in low doses, remains a chemical treatment with dangerous side effects because it is taken on a daily basis and sometimes for many years. The best poisons are often those that are ingested in minute doses, but repeatedly.

Here are some basic tips to observe a preventive lifestyle from a circulatory point of view and in relation to cerebral degeneration or mental disorders:

  • Limit your intake of fructose and sugar. Fructose has been proven to promote cardiovascular disease.
  • Avoid processed foods and ready-made meals. These foods contain preservatives, colorings, sweeteners, pesticides and a host of other harmful additives. Many of them are considered carcinogens and increasingly as endocrine disruptors.
  • Your diet should contain enough fresh, raw, organic or at least unprocessed fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid eating too much protein and choose quality protein. Think about plant-based proteins.
  • Include omega-3 fatty acids in your diet in the form of flaxseed or fish oil.
  • Make sure your vitamin D3, vitamin K and iron levels are always within the normal range. These 2 vitamins are extremely beneficial for the cardiovascular system.
  • Monitor your weight (excess is harmful), blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and blood glucose and insulin levels.
  • Practice gentle, regular exercise (at least 3 times a week), one of the best of which, as you may have guessed, is walking barefoot on the grass or sand.
