Aphrodisiac plants for women and men

Decreased desire, dormant libido, "mechanical" problems can sometimes spoil the intimate life of your couple. Fortunately, nature provides for all problems and perhaps you will find a solution. Discover the aphrodisiac plants of the female and male to give a new breath to your sexuality!

Le désir sexuel chez la femme

After closely studying problems with libido in women, the researchers concluded that it was primarily a hormone issue. Indeed, stress and mood reflect on the desire or non-envy. Furthermore, the ovulatory period is considered stimulating on the point of sexual desire (always with a view to procreation and survival of the species). What is interesting is that it is during this phase that estradiol, a member of the estrogen family, is secreted en masse before dropping off as progesterone takes over until menstruation (if fertilization has not occurred).

According to scientists, the female libido would be at its highest level just before ovulation. Conversely, it would be the high level of progesterone that would be responsible for the lower libido.

The whole point of aphrodisiac remedies is to regulate the hormonal system and stimulate estradiol production.

"Estrogen is thought to influence libido in women by having a direct effect on neurons in the hypothalamus at the suprachiasmatic area. Peripherally, estrogen sensitizes the skin, which is a key structure for external sexual stimuli. Estrogen also exerts a significant effect on vaginal trophicity as well as lubrication" (source: urofrance.org).

Gingembre, l’aphrodisiaque incontournable

This root with many benefits is also known to stimulate sexual appetite. Indeed, it stimulates blood circulation by bringing blood, and thus oxygen, to the pelvic area. The uterus is better irrigated and becomes more receptive to stimuli.

The ginger is to be integrated freshly grated into the daily diet or to be drunk as a decoction (1 tablespoon for 500ml of water, let infuse for at least 20 minutes).

La Maca, quand le Pérou s’invite dans votre lit

This aphrodisiac plant native to Peru is a natural desire stimulant. It helps to regulate hormones which makes it a great ally for increasing libido.

Le Tribulus Terrestris

Commonly recommended in Ayurvedic accompaniments for over 4,000 years, tribulus is used in athletes to counter muscle fatigue and improve stamina and to improve sexual performance. Indeed, tribulus is known to regulate all of the body's hormones. Thus, it helps to increase the level of sex hormones: testosterone in men and estradiol in women.

Le Ginseng pour raviver la flamme.

This herb from the Chinese pharmacopoeia is a famous adaptogen that helps to regulate the adrenals. It can help reduce stress and anxiety as well as give a boost. The ginseng thus makes it possible to release the anxious spirits while awakening the desire.

Le désir sexuel chez l’homme

As with women, desire in men is stimulated by hormonal activity.

"Testosterone has psychosexual effects, the most obvious being the stimulation of sexual desire. There is a proven cause and effect relationship between testosterone levels, desire and sexual behavior in men. Testosterone stimulatesphysiologically the sexual desire, according to a threshold model in normal young men and a more progressive model in older men" (source urofrance.org)

Le mucuna

Dopaminergique, il donne un coup de boost aux organismes fatigués. La dopamine est également connue comme étant l’hormone du plaisir. Le mucuna est un aphrodisiaque particulièrement recommandé pour les troubles érectiles

Le guarana

From the Amazonian pharmacopoeia, this plant is up to 7 times more stimulating than caffeine. Associated with the maca, it will come to end all the tirednesses, in particular sexual.

Ginseng, Gingembre, Maca et Tribulus

These plants discussed in the first part can also be used by humans. Their main role is to regulate hormone production. They are therefore perfect for both partners!
