5 seasonal foods that heal

Here is a list of 5 foods that are easy to incorporate into our menus and that have healing or protective properties...

  1. The Artichoke

Rich in antioxidants, the artichoke reduces the risk of cancer of the large intestine. It also stimulates the regeneration of liver cells (which are often endangered by the abuse of drugs, alcohol, or meat). A difficult tomorrow? Eat artichokes cooked in water or steamed!

  1. Mackerel

Like many marine fish, mackerel is rich in omega-3 but contains fewer heavy metals than other fish. It provides good proteins and preserves the cardiovascular system. To take full advantage of its health benefits, gentle cooking (steaming and papillotte) is preferred.

  1. The nut

No, nuts are not fattening! Rich in good fatty acids, omega-3 and proteins essential to the proper functioning of neurons, the brain and the cardiovascular system, they are also very good for regulating stress. They are eaten fresh or dried.

  1. Lemon

It is a natural antibacterial and antiseptic. In addition, lemon boosts our immune system to fight diseases such as bronchitis, flu, sore throat or mouth ulcers. It also has anti-aging and anti-oxidant properties that remineralize the body. Too acidic? On the contrary, it is alkalizing!

  1. The Apple

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away", according to the English. Good for the heart, the blood vessels and our respiratory capacity, the apple would also have a beneficial effect on the cholesterol. Thanks to its oxalic acid, it whitens and cleans teeth. It also fights acidity, if eaten between meals.
